Tuesday April 4th

Some of the stuff that we talked about doing before the end of May:

Beginning of May: Par 3 golf at Kistlers and then come back to the church for a Rock-a-thon (I'll explain in a second)

April (or when Crissy can do it): all girls lock-in...watching TV, doing your nails, all the things that girls do that make me shiver in fear...

May: Car Wash to help benefit the Mission Trip

June: Mission Trip (3rd week of June)

Before Easter (April 16th): Informational meeting for the Mission Trip. This meeting will be for parents and students who are planning on going in June. We will answer any questions regarding whether we are flying or driving; if you need to have your shots or not...those kinds of things. This meeting will be mandatory for anyone wanting to go so keep an eye out for your mailbox as I will send a letter home this week about it.

A rock-a-thon is quite simply: Rocking in a rocking chair for 12 hours to help raise money for the Youth Group. You go out and sign up sponsors that will give you for example a dollar and hour...$12.00. or five bucks an hour...$60.00 or you could suggest 10 or a 20 dollar donation that goes towards the Youth Group. If you can bring your own rocking chair, that would be great because the Youth room has only so many to go around. Rockers will rock for 12 hours with a ten minute break every hour. Don't fall asleep because that gives me the chance to wake you up (hint: you could get wet)

I think thats all for now but I will keep you posted on some of this stuff.

Mike

PS. We may be able to do the Pirate game again like we did this time last year but we will have to buy the tickets. If it does happen, I think its on April 28th (a friday night game against the Phillies and its fireworks night again) I'll keep you posted about that too.

Michael, Reading about the rockathon is bringing back memories! Did we only really do it for 12 hours or 24! The only thing I remember is the custodian being mad because we marked up the wax on the floor! Guess you gotta start off small. Your cuz!
